[Video][the case of the curious connections]
[The video does flick on- but only reveals blackness. After seeing all the accidental posts on the network, Sherlock had taped paper over his, thick enough to block out any light or accidental image.
But the sound comes through, along with the blackness, of the Great Detective stretching out and murmuring lazily as he wakes. Yawning. He's been under for a long time.
A little groan as he manages to sit up.]

[There's an aggravated hiss -- Tom needs control. He needs control. And now that his utter lack of control has just been confirmed, he has no idea what to do.]
-- I'm at the damn clinic.

[Scrambling.]

[Shortly. Tom doesn't understand the significance of that statement because he doesn't remember his past. He doesn't know he's a poor orphan.]

[He averts his eyes from the camera.]
It's the memories that are artificial.

When Sherlock approaches, Tom has his wand out in a flash. His posture is tense. His eyes are locked on the detective's own.]
Tell me how you came to this place.

[He informs him, breezing past him and to the clinic door, starting to take off his scarf.]
What are you doing out here? It's freezing.
[Offline]
I don't want to be inside.
Tell me how you came to be here.
[It's imperative, to know whether or not he is lying.]

[Holding the door open for him.]

Sherlock isn't lying.]
The Animus brought you here.
[Slowly, to himself.]

[Tom hisses and his back hits the clinic wall with a soft 'thunk', his arms falling to his sides.]
I remember -- living here, I remember growing up here.

He doesn't want to ask that question. Maybe because he doesn't want to know. What if his life is unsatisfactory? What if he hasn't lived up to his own great expectations?
When Tom finally speaks, it's in a carefully controlled monotone.]
Why do you still remember?

[He shrugs.]
